Edward D. Cavanagh teaches antitrust law, civil procedure, conflict of laws, complex litigation, and law and economics at St. John’s University School of Law.

He is a past chair of the NYSBA Antitrust Section. He is also a member of the ABA antitrust section, where he has served on the council and as co-chair of the Public Service Committee and co-chair of the Committee on Ethics and Professionalism. Cavanagh also serves as a member of the EDNY Civil Litigation Committee. Before entering the teaching field, he practiced antitrust law with two law firms in New York City.

He received his J.D. with distinction from Cornell Law School and his LL.M. and J.S.D. from Columbia Law School. Cavanagh earned his A.B. summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.
