Lecturer in Law
William Charron is a partner at Pryor Cashman LLP in New York City. He is a general commercial litigator with particular experience in intellectual property disputes, including representing plaintiffs and defendants in claims arising under the Copyright and Lanham Acts and under state privacy and publicity statutes. He has served as lead counsel in trials and appeals, and has appeared on behalf of clients and to provide expert commentary on national news programs including ABC's "20/20" and CNBC's "Power Lunch."
Mr. Charron earned his bachelor's degree in government from Colby College in 1993, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received a best senior thesis award for his work: "The Presidential Precampaign and the Press." He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a moot court competition semifinalist, an editor of
the Journal of Law and Politics, and where he also taught legal research and writing as a Dillard Fellow. He is a native of Massachusetts and an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
