B.A., Tufts University, 1965; J.D., Columbia Law School, 1968. Chairman, Board of Visitors, Columbia Law School. Chairman, Board of Directors, Critical Care Systems. Member, Executive Committee, Tufts University Board of Trustees. Steven Epstein's practice areas include health care and life sciences, with a focus on health law. After graduation from Columbia Law School, he joined the Wall Street law firm of Barrett Knapp Smith & Shapiro. He has served as a legal consultant to the Health Maintenance Organization Service, Health Services and Mental Health Administration, U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. He founded Epstein Becker & Green in 1973.
