Kristin Heavey

Kristin Heavey has been a Staff Attorney at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, a holistic, community-based public defender office, since September 2005. She represents indigent clients prosecuted in New York County at all stages of litigation, including arrest, arraignment, disposition negotiations, pre-trial hearings, trial, and sentencing. Ms. Heavey earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was an articles editor of the Human Rights Law Review and a James Kent Scholar. She received her B.A. from Duke University.
