Lecturer in Law
Ms. Wertkin practiced primarily in the areas of Indian and governmental law before becoming a librarian. She also was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin where she taught Professional Responsibilities and worked at the Remington Center's Legal Assistance to Institutionalized Project. Additionally, she was an adjunct at Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research teaching legal research and an elective on the Fourteenth Amendment. Ms. Wertkin has also written grants for several non-profit organizations. Prior to beginning at Columbia, Ms. Wertkin worked on a project with the library at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
