BiographyGilles Cuniberti is the Professor of Private International Law and Comparative Law at the University of Luxembourg. Prior to joining the University of Luxembourg, he taught at the Faculty of Law of Paris Val-de-Marne University and practiced on a part-time basis in the Paris office of a leading English firm. He was also a visiting faculty or a guest lecturer at various universities in Europe, the United States and Asia.
His primary teaching and research interests are the conflict of laws, international litigation and arbitration and international commercial law. He is the author of three books and numerous articles published in French, English, Italian and Spanish. He is also a regular contributor to the blog
conflictoflaws.net. He has been involved in legislative work, including as an expert for the European Commission for drafting European legislation on cross border litigation.
He holds a Doctorate in Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University and an LL.M. degree from Yale Law School. He was also a Paris-Oxford Doctoral Program Scholar for a year at Trinity College, Oxford.
