Adjunct Associate Professor
Elana Sigall received her A.B. from Princeton University, magna cum laude, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, cum laude. Prior to law school, she taught public high school in Brooklyn . Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Laughlin E. Waters, United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Sigall specializes in education-related legal issues. Her clients include charter schools and the ACLU Women’s Rights Project. Previously, she was General Counsel and Director of External Affairs for a non-profit charter-school operator, The Learning Project. She was a corporate associate at Debevoise & Plimpton and a foreign attorney at Nishimura & Partners in Tokyo .
Ms. Sigall also teaches classes at Teachers College. She has written articles for various publications, including The American Lawyer.
