Elana Sigall
Adjunct Associate Professor
Elana Sigall received her A.B. from Princeton University , magna cum laude, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School , cum laude. Prior to law school, she taught public high school in Brooklyn . Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Laughlin E. Waters, United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Ms. Sigall specializes in education-related legal issues. Her clients include charter schools and the ACLU Women’s Rights Project. Previously, she was General Counsel and Director of External Affairs for a non-profit charter-school operator, The Learning Project. She was a corporate associate at Debevoise & Plimpton and a foreign attorney at Nishimura & Partners in Tokyo .
Ms. Sigall also teachers classes at Teachers College. She has written articles for various publications, including The American Lawyer.
