Anthony E. Davis

Anthony E. Davis has been a partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP since February 2003. He is a member of Lawyers for the Profession practice group, advising law firms on law practice and risk management, and attorneys and firms regarding partnership agreements, law firm breakups and legal ethics. He has been an expert witness in legal malpractice and other cases involving legal ethics and professional responsibility.
Previously, he was a partner at Moye, Giles, O’Keefe, Vermeire & Gorrell LLP from 1999-2003. Before that, he was a partner with Fox Horan & Camerini LLP from 1994-99. From 1988-93 he was a partner with Berwin Leighton in New York. He was a partner with Lawrence Graham and Kaplan Russin Vecchi & Kirkwood from 1983-88. From 1975-82, he was a partner at Crane & Hawkins, Gould & Davis.
From 1972-77 he was a member of Lord Boston of Faversham’s Chambers in London, working as a barrister.
He earned a B.A. in 1970 and M.A. in 1974 from Cambridge University. He earned an LL.M. in 1971 from New York University School of Law.
He has taught as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Denver College of Law, the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Brooklyn Law School and New York Law School. He was also an assistant dean at New York Law School.
