Detailed Biography:
Professor Gluck is an expert in legislation and the role of state legal actors in the federal system. She joined the faculty from senior positions in the New York City and New Jersey State Governments. Most recently, she served in the Administration of New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine as the Special Counsel and Senior Advisor to the New Jersey Attorney General.
She has been a lecturer before the National Association of Attorneys General and, at Columbia, is a faculty advisor to the law school's National State Attorneys General Program.
Prior to her work in New Jersey, Professor Gluck served in the Administration of NYC Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, where she was Chief of Staff and Counsel to the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services, Senior Counsel to the Corporation Counsel in the Office of Legal Counsel, and Deputy Special Counsel to the NYC Charter Revision Commission. Earlier in her career, Professor Gluck was a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and a Visiting Professor at Brooklyn Law School.
She clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and then-Chief Judge Ralph K. Winter, on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Before law school, she served as the Election Manager for Ben Cardin for Congress (D-Md); District Coordinator for the Clinton/Gore 1996 Campaign; and as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter to U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-Md).
Professor Gluck was an Academic Fellow at the Law School from 2008-2009, and joined the faculty in 2010.
