The Columbia Business & Law Association Presents a Case Study Event

Burger King’s Massive Merger with Tim Hortons:

A Case Study by Kirkland & Ellis

Tuesday, February 6 | 12:10pm - 1:10pm

JG 103

Burgers (Mel's Burger Bar) and Donuts will be served

In 2014, two iconic brands--Burger King and Tim Hortons--combined in a fast-paced, high-profile, cross-border "inversion" that left the combined company headquartered in Canada.  Kirkland partners Bill Sorabella and Laura Sullivan will walk through the nuts and bolts of the deal as well as some of the interesting and novel issues that came up in the transaction.

This event is part of CBLA’s Case Study Series. Each event in the series features an immersive case study through which one of New York's top law firms will introduce Columbia students to the lawyering behind headline deals. Please contact Fabi Vega (fv2187@columbia.edu) with any questions.

We hope to see you there!
