Columbia Law School and Judicial Clerkships
Columbia is among the small handful of law schools that consistently places its students in dozens of federal and state court clerkships, ranging from the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals to the state supreme courts and the chambers of federal magistrate judges.

The Columbia clerkship program provides support and guidance to both current students and alumni who are interested in pursuing clerkships.  The Clerkship Office sponsors educational programs, provides group and individual counseling, and assists students with the application process.  The Office is headed by Ilene Strauss, Columbia's Director of Judicial Clerkships & Academic  Counseling (ilene.strauss@law.columbia.edu).
