The student-edited Columbia Journal of Environmental Law is designed to be a valuable aid to the legal community committed to the preservation and improvement of the environment. The journal is edited by a student board of editors chosen from among the staff at the end of the second year. Students are selected for second-year staff positions on the basis of writing samples.
