L9203 Prisoners and Families Clinic

  • Share/email this course
  • Print

The Prisoners and Family Clinic operates at the intersection of the criminal justice and family court/child welfare systems. The goals of the clinic are to provide advocacy to prisoners who are seeking parole release and to inform prisoners about their parental rights and responsibilities. This is done through a combination of direct representation and education. Students enroll in the clinic for one semester only, but students are sometimes able to continue working with their clients in subsequent semesters.
