Open to second and third year students who have completed L6241, Evidence. This seminar does not fulfill the legal writing requirement.
Working with different case files, the students learn how to try a case in court. Lectures and a text book serve as a general guide for the students to understand the fundamental principles of trying cases, while weekly in-class presentations allow for individual students to practice the skills they have learned. The course covers opening statements, direct and cross examination, impeachment and rehabilitation of witnesses, and summations.
