Prerequisite: L6241 Evidence.
Enrollment limited to 14 students.
Open only to students who have completed L6241, Evidence. This seminar does not fulfill the legal writing requirement. Each week, each student will perform an exercise designed to promote knowledge of the litigation process and to afford individual experience in major phases of trial practice, including techniques and approaches to witness examination, introduction of evidence and jury addresses. Some exercises are drawn from actual trials and others are from National Institute of Trial Advocacy simulations. Materials are drawn from both civil and criminal trial practice. Classes last 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Final exam is a short criminal trial that students will conduct, in teams of 2 or 3, from beginning to end.
