This is a seminar for intellectual property aficionados. It will critically examine some of the canonical ideas, theories, and controversies in the various areas of intellectual property. We will study the influence of these ideas on the development of intellectual property law and policy, particularly over the past fifty years. We will also explore their continued relevance and viability. In particular, the seminar will focus on information privacy as it appears in intellectual property law.
