The colloquium will be organized in sessions with experts on international and comparative criminal law and related fields. They will present scholarly work-in-progress and current projects in international humanitarian law and will discuss cutting-edge topics relevant to the institutions involved in this area of practice. Students will be expected to participate in discussion of the experts' papers and to write either short reaction papers on several of them or a short paper inquiring further into one of the topics discussed. Grading will be credit/fail.

The colloquium is required for participants in the Columbia-Amsterdam Alliance on International Criminal Law and also open (subject to space limitations) to other students.
