This reading group will bring together students interested in the study of China with scholars from the U.S. and China to discuss recent scholarship on the Chinese legal system. There will be seven two hour meetings, mostly on Fridays over lunch. Participants are expected to come prepared to discuss that week's readings, and participants will be asked to help co-lead at least one session. There is no writing requirement.
