Designed to provide a valuable hands-on complement to the Law School's more conventional teaching offerings in public law, this full-semester offering for third year students affords an opportunity to integrate aspects of students' public law education in an applied setting. After admission to the course, externs will apply to participating governmental law offices in Washington, D.C. of interest to them.
The Externship will consist of a weekly seminar, a substantial legal research paper and a minimum of 30 hours of work per week at the host organizations.
