International business requires cross-border cooperation in order to rescue or liquidate troubled enterprises. This course examines issues arising from competing jurisdictions, disparate national laws and policies, and opportunities for court-to-court cooperation. Students study U.S., European, Latin American, and Asian legal viewpoints respecting business bankruptcies.
