Legislative Action on Climate Change in the 111th Congress of the United States
AGENCY MANDATES
The Center for Climate Change Law has prepared a database of all federal agency mandates contained in the House bill, ACES/Waxman-Markey:
The database is sorted by primary agency , but it is an Excel spreadsheet that can also be sorted by type of action (e.g. regulations, reports, convening task forces), by subject matter (e.g. adaptation, appliances, transmission planning), by section number, or by page number. Users can also perform word searches.

SENATE DELIBERATIONS
Bills:
In contrast to the House, where Waxman-Markey was the sole climate change bill to receive full consideration, the Senate is debating several bills, which may be combined in some way if all reach the floor. The largest and most comprehensive bill is S. 1733 ("Kerry-Boxer" or "CEJAPA"), but each of the other bills contain important provisions. Additionally, because of partisan circumstances in the Committee on Environment and Public Works, the Committee reported Kerry-Boxer to the floor without consideration of amendments by the Senators on the Committee.
S. 1733, Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act, introduced by Senators Kerry (D-MA) and Boxer (D-CA)
