Human Rights Visiting Scholars
The Institute hosts prominent human rights academics who join the Columbia human rights community as Visiting Scholars to research and write about human rights issues.

Recent Visiting Scholars at the Institute include: Law School alumnus Bill Lann Lee, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice under President Clinton; alumna Dinah PoKempner, General Counsel for Human Rights Watch; Monica Pinto, Director for Cooperation and International Affairs at the Argentine Ministry of Justice and Human Rights; and Elsa Stamatopoulou, Deputy to the Director, New York Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
