Luke Aneke

Open Society Justice Initiative Fellow

Luke Aneke lives in New York and is a graduate of Columbia Law School. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a masters degree from Duquesne University. His research interests include monitoring anti-corruption initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa and designing effective policies aimed at minimizing corruption in the sub-region.

His current project on Nigeria aims at obtaining and publicizing accurate and meaningful data about the performance of the anti-corruption agencies in the country. The Project will aim to produce well-written, technically accurate and reader-friendly reporting on these matters that can serve as a reasoned factual and legal basis for comprehending the real challenges facing anti-corruption prosecutions and other efforts in Nigeria, and provide an informed basis for appraising the performance of the agencies, the lawyers, the courts, the executive and legislative branches, and civil society, as well as for developing proposed remedies for the problems uncovered.
