Thursday, September 23rd: Stefano Inama "Free Trade, WTO and Rules of Origin: What this means for Developing Nations." Mr. Inama is Senior Counsel at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).  The seminar will address the trade effects of rules of origin in FTA, and concerns regarding NAFTA and the pan European rules of origin.  The seminar will take place at 2:00 in Room 600 of William and June Warren Hall.  Light refreshments will be served. 

Wednesday, September 29th: Jeffrey Kenner "Exporting the European Social Model: a Post-colonial Legal Framework? Professor Kenner is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nottingham and currently a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School.  The seminar is concerned with the external dimension of European Union labour law. In particular, it will examine how the EU seeks to export its concept of the "European Social Model" as an essential element of its international relations policy.  The event will take place at 12:15 in Room 646 of Jerome Greene Hall.  Light refreshments will be served.

Wednesday, October 13th: Karsten Voigt .  Mr. Voigt is the Coordinator of German-American Relations, of the German Foreign Office.  He is a specialist on security, trade issues and European integration, and the subject of the seminar will be American / German relations. The event will take place at 12:15, in Room 600 of William and June Warren Hall. Light refreshments will be served.  More information on the topic of discussion will follow.

Thursday, November 4th: Dr. Pieter Jan Kuijper is the Director for External Relations in the Legal Service of the European Commission.  The topic of his discussion is "The European Union and its Member States: Responsibility Under International Law." The event will take place at 12:15, in Room 600 of William and June Warren Hall. Light refreshments will be served.
