Conference on Cross Border Securities Market Mergers - Held in December 2007

This one day conference was sponsored by the Center for Law and Economics Studies, at the Columbia Law School, and the Program for the Law and Economics of Capital Markets, jointly at the Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School.  The conference explored the forces driving 2007's merger activity, its implications for the U.S. and world economies, and the challenges it presented for capital market regulation.  Panelists included top regulators and other governmental officials, investment bankers, exchange officials, practicing lawyers, and leading law and finance academics.
