Martha E. Gifford

Martha E. Gifford has been a solo practitioner concentrating in antitrust counseling since 2007. Her areas of experience include price fixing, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, other competitor collaborations, trade associations, distribution, pricing and related sales practices, and dealer terminations. She was previously Chair of the Antitrust Practice Group at Proskauer Rose LLP, and has worked with the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division in the New York Field Office. She received a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. from Connecticut College. 

Ms. Gifford has been honored with a variety of professional accolades: inclusion in the list of New York Metropolitan Area “Super Lawyers” in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009; the William B. Lifland Service Award, Antitrust Law Section, from the New York State Bar Association in 2007; the Florence B. Allen Award from the New York Women’s Bar Association in 2006; and the Alumni Tribute Award from Connecticut College in 1998. She has served as President of the New York Women’s Bar Association and of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, and serves on their advisory committees.
