The Charities Project of the National State Attorneys General Program held a meeting in Washington Attorney General, Rob Mckenna’s office on September 24-25, 2009. In an effort to reach out to individual AG offices, this meeting brought together representatives from a small number of state offices to discuss, in a small group setting, the substantive, procedural and logistical questions they have in working in the area of charities regulation.
Participating states were selected because of their interest in expanding their regulatory activity despite their small staffs and/or limited resources. Participating states for the Seattle meeting included Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon and Washington. Please refer to the resources below for more information.
