This course examines the use of negotiation, mediation,
and arbitration outside the traditional framework of state
or federal court litigation. The course also covers alternatives
such as mini-trials, summary jury trials, mediation/arbitration,
and early neutral evaluation, as well as various ethical and policy
issues that are associated with these alternative processes.
