Professor Macey teaches at Yale Law School and at Yale School of Management. His recent course offerings include Accounting, Finance, and Law, Banking Law and Regulation, Business Organizations, Financial Institutions and Capital Markets, and Law, Economics, and Organization. He has authored several books, including the two-volume treatise Macey on Corporation Laws and his co-authored casebooks Corporations: Including Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies and Banking Law and Regulation. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Governance, the Economics Advisory Board of FINRA, and the National Adjudicatory Council of FINRA.
Prior to joining the Yale Law School faculty in 2004, Professor Macey taught at Cornell Law School (1991 - 2004; 1987 - 1990), the University of Chicago Law School (1989 - 1991), and Emory Law School (1983 to 1986).
After graduating from Yale Law School, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Henry J. Friendly of United States Court of Appeals for Second Circuit (1982 - 1983).
