Capital Markets Regulation Course
A Jointly-Listed Class at Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School
Capital Markets Regulation, co-taught by Professors Merritt B. Fox of Columbia Law School and Lawrence R. Glosten of Columbia Business School, examines the mechanics, economics and current structure of markets for the trading of securities in the United States as well as past and present Congressional, Securities and Exchange Commission, state common law and industry regulation of those markets and their participants.
In addition to providing the class to Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School students who become active practitioners, the Program is developing teaching materials for other law and business schools and cultivating future capital markets scholars and teachers. Ultimately, the Program aims to fully integrate the materials of the course into a treatise/textbook.
