DESCRIPTION:Mr. Li will begin his talk from the perspective of Hong Kong&#8217;s markets, but will touch upon the trend in China&#8217;s opening up as well.Charles Li '91, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx), will speak on his experiences as the head of one of Asia's most important exchanges. Mr. Li worked as an offshore oil worker in the north China sea prior to college, and a newspaper editor-reporter for China Daily from 1984-1986. He obtained a B.A. degree from Xiamen University of China in 1984, an M.A. degree from the University of Alabama in 1988 and a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York in 1991.
