DESCRIPTION:Please note that this program has been canceled. If you are still interested in participating in the survey this Sat, Feb 9th, please email lisa.kim@law.columbia.edu. Many small businesses have suffered as a result of Sandy and are having difficulty navigating the legal system to get redress, CLS students can work with the Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project to conduct interviews with small business owners the Rockaways, as part of a needs assessment that will help develop remedies. The first session will be Saturday, Feb. 9th.  Come to a training and orientation session with Project Director Akira Arroyo and Andrew Goldberg. They will talk about their experience in the field working with post-disaster small businesses and give a brief training on interviewing skills. This training session is mandatory for students who want to participate in the Feb. 9th Sandy survey.
