SUMMARY:Careers in Law Teaching Program Lunchtime Workshop Series\: "Teaching Abroad\: Opportunities for US-Trained Lawyers in Foreign Countries and Foreign Trade Lawyers in the US"
DESCRIPTION:\nSpeakers\: George Bermann, Margit Cohn, and Katharina Pistor. In an increasingly global world, teaching temporarily or in the long term in a country other than one's own should be a natural. Since legal systems are by and large national monopolies, this is easier said than done. This panel will give US students who wish to teach or research abroad as well as foreign students who with to teach in the US or another country but their own a realistic sense of what the options are. \n\n \nPizza and refreshments will be served\nAll workshops are audio recorded and posted on the CILTP webpage\: http\://www.law.columbia.edu/careers/law_teaching \nFor more information, contact\: gsoto@law.columbia.edu
