SUMMARY:Are Hate Speech Laws Constitutional?
DESCRIPTION:The Federalist Society invites you to join us for "Are Hate Speech Laws Constitutional," a debate featuring John Kunich of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Jeremy Waldron of The New York University School of Law. Professors Kunich and Waldron will debate both de jure and de facto censorship, as well several contemporary cases of censurship on freedom of expression, including the Muhammad cartoons, the recent controversy over the trailer "Innocence of Muslims," and the Broadway musical "The Book of Mormon." The debate will be moderated by Claudia Haupt of Columbia Law School. Boxed lunches will be served. Contact\: Matthew Brock, mb3543@columbia.edu
