Getting a law degree opens a range of ways to practice the law.  Join a conversation with four lawyers who have used their law degrees in different and innovative ways in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and feminist movements.  Participants include, Kevin Cathcart, the Executive Director of Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund and the former Executive Director of Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders; Katherine Grainger, Principal at Civitas Public Affairs, a political consulting and advocacy group working on social justice issues and former Assistant Counsel to Governor Andrew Cuomo, and former Vice President for Policy at NARAL-Pro Choice NY; Richard Burns, Interim Executive Director of the Funding Exchange and former Executive Director of the NYC LGBT Services Center; and Urvashi Vaid, Director of the Engaging Tradition Project at the Center for Gender and Sexuality Law, and former Executive Director of the Arcus Foundation and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
