Laura Pitter, counterterrorism advisor in Human Rights Watch's US Program, monitors, analyzes and writes on US counterterrorism policies. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Laura was a journalist, human rights advocate, and attorney who practiced in both the public and private sectors.
