Join EWOC for a small group lunch this Wednesday October 23 with Professor Franke in JG 504. Please RSVP by filling the form below ASAP as space is limited to 20 people.
Professor Franke is an Isidor and Seville Sulzbacher Professor of Law and the Director for the Center for Gender and Sexuality Law. She has taught Critical Legal Thought, Gender Justice, Legal Scholarship, and the Queer Theory Workshop here at Columbia.
Professor Franke attended Barnard College, where she graduated magna cum laude in Philosophy, received her JD at Northeastern University, her LLM at Yale, and her JSD at Yale where she wrote her dissertation entitled "Because of Sex."
Among her community and professional activities includes her membership on: the Board of Directors for the Center of Constitutional Rights; the advisory board of the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies; and the advisory council of the Center for Non-Violent Education.
