A conversation with Professor Michele Goodwin, Everett Fraser Chair in Law & Professor of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Minnesota, and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School.
Professor Goodwin will discuss the peak in domestic violence that occurs during pregnancy and examine the ways in which law does or does not answer for that. Her research exposes the complicated ways in which the rule of law may hinder support for victims of domestic violence and could actually cause backlash.
