Interested in a career in state or local government? Join Professor Richard Briffault and Matt Gewolb for a lively conversation with New York State Superintendent of Financial Services and Columbia Law School alum Benjamin Lawsky. Many state and local career opportunities will be discussed.
About our guest:
In addition to serving as New York Superintendent of Financial Services, Mr. Lawsky was previously Governor Andrew Cuomo's Chief of Staff and served as Deputy Counselor and Special Assistant throughout the administration of then-Attorney General Cuomo. Prior to that, Lawsky was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, Chief Counsel to Senator Charles Schumer on the Senate Judiciary Committee and a Trial Attorney in the Civil Division of the Department of Justice.
