CJEL Climate Change Symposium
Thursday, April 17, 2014 04:00 PM EDT
-- 06:30 PM EDT
The CJEL Climate Change Symposium will showcase and discuss articles published in a special CJEL Climate Change issue. The authors of the articles will present their work with commentary provided by professors and practicing environmental attorneys. These articles are: "Climate Adaptation and Land Use Governance: The Vertical Axis" by Professor Alice Kaswan, of USF School of Law and "Federal Regulatory Barriers to Grid-Deployed Storage" by Andrew Meyer '13 and Associate, Latham & Watkins.
The symposium will culminate in a reception where students can learn more about this career path from professors, practitioners, and Columbia Law School alumni who are already making their marks on environmental law. Sive, Paget & Riesel, a New York environmental law firm co-founded by two Columbia Law School alumni, has generously agreed to sponsor the reception.
