SJI Monday: Grassroots Policy

Grassroots advocacy on issues of immigration, sustainable communities, health, and fair treatment of workers is important in shaping the national agenda. Professor Susan Sturm and Amy Carroll, the Legal Director of Make the Road New York and Deputy Director of the new Center for Popular Democracy, will lead a discussion on what is happening in NYC and elsewhere. Ms. Carroll also will preview Columbia's new Externship on State and Local Advocacy.
Lunch will be served. Presented by Social Justice Initiatives.
