In July 2010, Goldman Sachs agreed to a $550 million settlement of the SEC’s claims that it violated the securities laws in connection with a collateralized debt obligation (CDO) transaction known as ABACUS. During this discussion, Professor Jackson, of Columbia Law School, and Professor Morrison, of the Said Business School at the University of Oxford, will analyze the ABACUS transaction, and other deals like it, in the context of recent changes within the investment banking market.
Non-pizza lunch will be served. Brought to you by the Columbia Business & Law Association. Contact: Adam Yoran, firstname.lastname@example.org
