Public interest lawyer and civil society activist Ms. Guo Jianmei will share her insider’s perspective on challenges facing civil society leaders and public interest lawyers in China from the perspective of one of China’s most relentless women’s rights advocates. Ms. Guo will give an introduction to civil society and legal development in China over the past two decades, followed by insights into her struggle to defend victims of gender-based discrimination.
