"The Central Park Five" Film Screening and Q&A

-- 09:00 PM EDT
Filmmakers Sarah Burns and David McMahon and exoneree Yusef Salaam will join us for the screening of the film and Q&A session.
In 1989, five black and Latino teenagers were arrested and charged with brutally attacking and raping a white female jogger in Central Park. News media swarmed the case, calling them a "wolfpack." The five would spend years in prison for a crime they didn't commit before the truth about what really happened became clear. The Central Park Five is based on Sarah Burns' book and was co-directed by Burns, her husband David McMahon, and father, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns.
A Q&A with the filmmakers and Yusef Salaam, one of the five exonerees, will follow the screening.
Refreshments will be served.
Hosted by Social Justice Initiatives, the African Law Students Association (ALSA), the Criminal Justice Action Network (CJAN), and the Black Law Students Association (BLSA).
