NEW YORK, NY - Eva L. Jerome has been named partner at the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP effective January 1, 2006. She joined the firm in 2002 and currently practices in the New York City office. Jerome received a J.D. from Columbia University in 1994 and an A.B magna cum laude from there in 1991. She is one of 10 new partners at Bryan Cave.
Jerome manages litigation involving securities fraud, complex business transactions, trademark infringement, insurance coverage and antitrust allegations. Jerome has represented a court-appointed receiver for two hedge funds in connection with a Securities and Exchange Commission civil enforcement proceeding. Her responsibilities included devising a plan for distributing millions of dollars in estate assets to the hedge funds' creditors and investors and coordinating numerous lawsuits the receiver brought on behalf of the funds. She has argued dispositive motions in federal and state courts. Jerome also has defended clients in a variety of other areas, including criminal proceedings and employment discrimination and right to privacy litigation. In addition, she has represented energy companies in regulatory proceedings.
