DENISE BACKHOUSE '98 WINS AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING PRO BONO WORK

Sanctuary for Families award honors attorneys for pro bono work on behalf of domestic violence victims

NEW YORK, NY (November 3, 2005) - Denise E. Backhouse '98, an Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP was honored by Sanctuary for Families' Legal Center for her outstanding pro bono legal representation on behalf of domestic violence victims.

The awards are being hosted by Sanctuary's Associates Committee (SAC), a group of young professionals who are committed to combating domestic violence and have joined together to support Sanctuary's work. Over half of the fifty New York law firms that provide pro bono services to Sanctuary clients are represented on SAC. The evening is sponsored by Martha Clara Vineyards and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meager & Flom LLP.
